Subsequent above-average sunshine combined with\nalternating hot days and cool nights were conducive to optimum grape ripening.\nQuick, even v\u00e9raison (colour change) produced reliably fine wines.<br>\n\u00abThe weather conditions at the start of the growing season were particularly difficult, but the\nend result is wonderful. The fact that we were able wait patiently and harvest the grapes \u2018\u00e0 la\ncarte\u2019 meant that we could extract their quintessential fruitiness.
